Candidates have to follow all the below-mentioned steps one-by-one for the online application form process. 

• Firstly candidates have to visit the official website, i.e.,  https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/, on their desktop or any other device. 
• Then they have to click on the online registration button and complete the registration process by filling in all the necessary details. (Other options will also be given here, like forgot registration).
• After registration is completed, students need to click on the apply online button to proceed to fill out online applications available in the left sidebar of the page. 
• You now have to submit all the personal details, as well as educational qualification reports, plus upload scanned copies of documents like your passport-size photo and signature. 
• Then comes the online form fees, which you can pay through various given options like net banking, debit card, and a credit card or UPI as well.

• On the left side of the navigation bar, candidates can see a box named “shortlisted candidate” keeping the cursor, their candidate can see all the states from where candidates are selected. You have to just click on the state name for which you want to check the results.

Selection Criteria For GDS 2023

• There is no examination process for GDS 2023; the applicants are selected for the marks they got as per the system-generated merit list. 
• The merit list to determine the qualified candidate is formed according to marks obtained/points to marks/ conversion of grades in the 10th standard of the approved board combined to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. Plus, passing all the subjects is mandatory. 
• For every candidate of the 10th standard mark sheet, only their marks will be taken into account obtained in all compulsory and optional subjects, excluding any extra subject, which ensures that the student with higher marks gets selected. 
• For applicants who got only grades, marks will be reckoned into numbers and calculated for all subjects by applying the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following manner:-

• In case, Cumulative Grade Point Average is also given, then it will be multiplied by 9.5 to get the marks. 
• Candidates, who got both marks and grades on their 10th standard mark sheet, only marks will be taken to do the evaluation. In case any aspirant applied with grades will be disqualified.
• Also, applicants who submitted the application form without complete details or uploaded unnecessary or wrong documents will be rejected. 
• At the time of verification of documents, if the application form retails found mismatched with the original documents or if there is a spelling error in the candidate name or his/her father mother’s name, then they will be rejected.
